Minutes of the Annual Meeting 2022-2023

It was indeed a great pleasure to see so many of you coming over to attend the Annual Meeting 2022-2023 at ITCC yesterday and taking active part in all the discussions. It is also heartening to see that many of you who could not attend are eager to take committee responsibilities and expressed your intentions to do so. All this will ensure Bharati programs reach newer heights. It upholds the true Bharati spirit. A big thumbs up to all of you.

The Covid-19 pandemic over the last two years stopped us from organizing many of our activities. We would like to kick start all activities once again with new enthusiasm and spirit.

The following were agreed at the meeting :

The activities planned for the year 2022-23 are – Garba/Dandiya, Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja, Picnic (to try and organize twice during the year), Saraswati Puja, Holi, and rabindra Jayanti.
Various Committees have been formed to organize the programs and with new themes and ideas.
As cost of all commodities have gone up over last two years it has been decided that Annual Membership for a family would be revised to THB 8,000. Single member subscription will be THB 4,000 for one year. You are requested to please transfer your subscription to Kasikorn bank account No: 059-8-21617-7; Account holder’s name – Jay Shankar Mukherjee and send the transfer slips to either Jayanta Chakravarty (Jayantchk@gmail.com) or Soumen Bose (soumenbose123@gmail.com) the treasurers. We intend not to collect any subscription in cash. You are requested to make the contributions within September 2022.
In light of the tightness of funds and increase in cost Bharati committee 2022-2023 request all members to look for sponsorships and donations so that we can continue to organize all our functions in the same zest as pre-covid.
If anyone is interested to help any of the committees, please do get in touch with the respective committee members. Support of all Bharatians are requested to ensure all activities become a great success.

Re-induction of member – Any member who did not pay the Annual membership fee of 2021 or its previous year(s) and would like to re-join the association, his application would be subject to approval from senior members of the committee and if approved, would be inducted with a total fee of Baht 12,000 (Baht 4,000 for previous year plus Baht 8,000 for current year). For Single membership it would be Baht 6,000.
